As a southern californian (specifically one that grew up in Los Angeles) it has always astounded me the big differences between the north of the state versus the south. From the landscape, the people, and the economy, its like a totally different country going up north. Northern California has always fascinated me with all my visits there from the rich fertile grounds of the Sacramento Valley, High mountains of the Yosemite, the buzzing city of San Francisco, the wineries, the vast wilderness north of the city, and the tech industry of Silicone Valley. Some people even argue that the North and the South of the state should be cut into two different states. In this blog, I will go over the geography of Northern California and show you why I am fascinated by the places, the people, and the landscape.
