When it comes to farming and agriculture, Northern California is most known for its grapes and Wineries. California is the leading win producing state (making more than 90 percent of all U.S. wines). If California was a nation, it would be the 4th leading wine-producing country behind France, Italy, and Spain. Majority of this comes from Northern California. Wine Northern California's most valuable finished agricultural product. All in all, it provides $45.4 billion to the whole state. Wine Country is an area in northern California known as a premium wine-growing region. This area includes the Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley, Bennett Valley, and Russian River Valley. These areas are well known due to the tourist appeals and is second only to Disneyland as a main tourist attraction in California.

Due to the rich soil and abundance of water in the north of the state. Northern California is a big agricultural producer. Besides wineries, Northern California also is a big producer of Strawberries, Grapes, Milk, Almonds, Nursery plants, Walnuts, and tomatoes. These are just the sum of over 200 different crops grown mainly in Northern and Central California.
